The objective of the school building plan - in which central publicly available space was designed - was to facilitate integration between students. The clear functional arrangement ensures good orientation within the space and direct access to individual parts of the building. The principle of the school's functional plan was based on three separate zones: public, semi-public and private. The public zone was placed in the central part of the building to facilitate multicultural integration of the student community and enable students to have maximum contact with each other. Spacious classrooms are lit from two sides - directly through exterior walls and indirectly through an atrium and skylights designed in the semi-private zone. Movable glass-walls were designed from the side of the corridors, and they can be folded in order to obtain extra space to organize classes. |
