The building represents one of the investments, which have recently started to appear in the long-neglected district of Nadodrze. The shape of the building, located in a compactly developed area of the tenement houses, in the frontage line of a small city square, clearly goes beyond the principles of 19th century town planning and introduces a new quality to the local environment. This over scaled, black, horned and arrogant building challenges the commonplace and the trend to standardize municipal space according to one scheme. Modern, dynamic form and the scale vivify the square's space. The inner structure of the building was subordinated to the ideas of rationally shaped apartment interiors and was achieved through the search for the best investment return rate, so unnecessary communication surfaces and utility rooms were reduced to a minimum. This 'big-eared cushion-like' building is an attack of non-conformist architecture on a devastated city district and boldly sets up new rules for itself.
