The new premises of Secondary School Complex No. 5 will be built on the area of the former open-air swimming pool located at Ślężna street. The designer's main objective was to maintain the unique, park-like nature of the plot. The new building was located along Ślężna street where, not so long ago, the swimming pool facilities were to be found. The relatively narrow form of the design of the school and gym, where the former swimming pool was located, and placing a sports field on its roof helped to save many trees from being cut down. Simultaneously, locating the building in this way gained the extra function of an acoustic screen, separating the park from the busy street. The sports part and the library were separated to enable their independent operation. Classrooms were designed from the park side, which provided them with optimal access to south-eastern natural light, a view of green park areas and isolation from street noise. Rectangular study rooms emerge from the building on various levels from the hall located on the side of Ślężna street and protrude through the glazed exterior walls of the building.
