Competition design of the multifamily housing with retail in the ground floor and underground parking.
New buildings are located at the Drobnera Street and it complements XIX century quarter houses which are limited by Łokietka Street, Św. Macieja Square, Henryka Probusa and Jedności Narodowej Street. Buildings are inscribed in the triangular plot, from the north side there is green area designed, which is directed towards inner courtyard with preserved high trees. Underground parking was planned on the single floor under whole plot area and it’s accessible through the vehicular gate in the eastern side of the plot. Entrance to the underground parking was placed from the north in a way that it sets recreational space in the centre of the plot. Building volume from the eastern side in the section of the vehicular gate is lower, has 5 floors, and it’s adapted to the adjoining structures, the rest of the building has 6 floors, which is the height referring to the tenement houses on the Łokietka Street. Ground floor is dedicated to the retail, which opens with the large glazed windows divided by the slanting walls.
Facade of the dwelling floors is regular with underlined vertical portfe-fenetre section which are diversified by the slanting undercut of the walls. Plain and legible elevation form was achieved by the simple means of expression, such as white coloring of the facade with diverse texture: smooth, were the slanting walls are, and stone imitating horizontal corrugated elevation front. Within planned housing there are 61 flats designed with diverse area, from single room units to the apartments with terraces on the highest floors.
