The building, with its size and character, matches the existing urban structure. It was designed as a cuboid covered with a double-pitched roof . The individual character and dynamism were achieved by the oblique location of the gable wall resulting from the shape of a road designed next to it. To calm down the composition of the facades which have the windows of various sizes and deep openings of the loggias, the spaces between windows were filled with wooden diaphragms creating horizontal, even strips. The Client wished to be given a cost-effective concept of an average-standard residential house. The design of one staircase serving all sixteen flats located on four floors proved to be the optimal solution here. An unusual floor plan of all the levels allowed us to arrange most of the units in the building as corners flats with terraces or balconies. |
