Organization of space and simplicity and conciseness of forms, as well as the use of materials with expressive textures are the key principles in designing the buildings of the sports complex. In this case the concept to organize the development concerned the location of individual utility functions and spaces inside flat-roofed building sets with the same capacities. The design of the sports complex is a visual blending of rational modernism and a contemporary interpretation of Mediterranean architecture.

To enhance visual effects, simple and natural materials were used: structural concrete on walls, formed individually using formwork, glass sandblasted and etched with ornamental patterns, oxidized steel panels and natural wood and stone slabs.
