The building's location, unique in the city, in the immediate neighbourhood of the river and connected with the riverside boulevard, allows the creation of a unique atmosphere. The building clings to preserved tenement houses from the side of Sikorskiego street, corresponding with their size and style and creating an inner yard together with them. Exterior walls from the street side and the new square were designed as large surfaces, variegated with spatial elements like balconies and loggias, while the exterior wall facing the Odra side was almost completely glazed. In the two top storeys, spatial forms represented by characteristic suspended loggia were added to keep reference to the existing line of roofs. |
